We aim to take the guesswork out of buying jewellery, and this page is dedicated to answering your most frequently asked questions.Is your site secure and safe to buy from?
When an order is placed at our website, your credit card and other personal details are encrypted using 128bit SSL technology. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer and are handled only by our own staff. We do not use call centres or data processing centres, and your details are not held in clear text on any web site. You can rest assured that we take your privacy and the security of your payment and personal details very seriously. You can always telephone your order through to us on 01200 425955 (Tuesday-Saturday 9am-5pm) if you'd prefer.
How much is delivery?
Delivery to addresses in the UK is free for all orders with a value of £50.00 or more . Postal charges for all other orders in the uk are £3.50. Your items will be sent by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery. All packages that are sent require a signature on delivery. If you want to arrange alternative delivery please contact us by telephone or e-mail. If you require delivery to an address outside the UK please contact us by email.
How do I make a purchase?
Making a purchase could not be easier: just browse through the shop, click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping basket. When you have finished selecting your jewellery click on "BUY" and you will be asked for a few details. Your credit card details will be processed via a secure server. We will send you an email to confirm that we've received your order.
This does not constitute a contract between us - the contract is formed when we ship the goods to you. At this point we'll send you another email to inform you that your goods are on their way.
How quickly will I get my order?
Where possible we will ship your goods to you within 24 hours of receiving your order. If we are unable to ship your jewellery within 3 days we will contact you either by email or by phone to let you know how long we expect it to be before we can fulfil your order and to give you the option to wait or to cancel the order. Please note that if the shipping address differs from the billing one, we may contact you to ask for further documentation and/or proof of ID and the order might take a little bit longer to deliver. If you need something in a rush then please give us a ring or send us an e-mail and we will be able to tell you how quickly we can get the goods to you - we'll do our level best to help with any last-minute panics!
I don't live in the UK.
Can I still buy jewellery from bjwl.co.uk?
We will be delighted to supply you but you will need to contact us first so that we can process your order and advise you of delivery costs. What if I choose the wrong chain length?
If you choose the wrong chain length just give us a ring or send us an e-mail and we will exchange it for you. If you simply require an 18" chain rather than a 16" there will be no extra charge, if you require longer than this then there may be a small charge involved.
How will the goods arrive?
All goods are sent boxed. We offer gift wrapping free of charge so if you would like your goods gift wrapped please state in the gift wrapping option during checkout. There is also a special instructions box at the checkout if you would like to include any additional relevant information for us (for example special shipping instructions). Goods are shipped recorded delivery so will require a signature, please bear this in mind when ordering, if you need to discuss this with us then give us a ring.
How do I return goods?
You have 7 days to return the goods if they are not what you require, please refer to our returns policy. We expect all of our goods to be of a high standard. If you are not happy please contact us immediately and we will do all we can to help. Earrings cannot be returned for hygiene reasons unless they are faulty.
Can I talk to someone about my order?
Just give us a ring on 01200 425955 or send us an e-mail and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Please bear in mind that if we ring you back we don't want to give away any surprises so if you don't want us to leave a message on your answer phone then tell us and we won't.
